Comparison

I was reading somewhere “comparison” is a thief of joy and it got me thinking where do I compare myself to others? In my mind I always compare my childhood experience to others and it would leave me feeling less than, less loved or broken. All of these valid feelings however there is a point when firstly we don’t need to carry solely the feelings of what happened to us all our lives we can focus on the growth if we have agreed to do the work. The fruits are sageness, wisdom,  capacity to hold pain and hold love deeper within us. Everyone’s journey is different and some fight a silent battle within that we aren’t aware of. Our stories can bring inspiration. So next time we judge ourselves if we are worthy enough of our journey remember compassionately we are complete and whole as we are. Learning to reframe not what happened to us but what we became because of it.
