When you pray to the universe you are speaking to your unconscious mind connecting you to the source within you. Sometimes our hearts and minds are disconnect. We bring our hearts true desire and our mind into alignment with our greatest good. Which is the greatest good for all.
Prayer can be completed without a religious belief it is communion with the universal force within us and outside of us.
